Hon Lagen David pays a visit to the Inmates of Patongo Prison together with the Staff for a crucial discussion and inspections on the wellbeing of Prisoners. "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.  The founder of Patongo Youth Centre, Passion for community Development Outreach who is also the Member of Parliament visit's the inmates. Hon Atuka comprehended that Prisoners are human and there multiple reasons people end up incarcerated.  According to the BOP, a number of prisoners' are serving time for non violent offences and others due to the influence of drug abuse. After a while, you all shall be out of custody he says. My office shall not cease fighting for justice where it best suits for the well being of the community. while comforting and having words of encouragement with the inmates, Hon asked the inmates not to return to crimes again because them being locked up affects the growing national economy. He pledged to always extend Rehabilitative and Education programs backed up with the existing government initiatives for prisoners. He asked the prison staff to work closely with his Office incase of any subject that needs to be raised to the attention of the government. HON DR LAGEN DAVID AND HON DR MINISTER BEATRICE AKORI SECURES A PHD IN THEOLOGY FROM ZOE LIFE THEOLOGICAL COLLEGE USA

Hon Lagen David Atuka, Agago county Mp and Hon Minister Beatrice Akello AKORI has today been awarded an honorary Doctorate of Theology by Zoe Life Theological College in America.  The Member of Parliament of Agago was awarded in respect of his dedication to Christian service, and significant contributions to the Church, and the society at large. “It is not about the names and titles that we are going to carry, but the spirit of common good,” Hon Dr Lagen said, during the awarding ceremony held at Sheraton Hotel, Kampala. He was accompanied by his children and Dwon lutedero Media CEO junior and other ministry leaders. Others accorded doctorates in various disciplines included Hon. Manenno Zumura, Dr Okiria Patricia Achan, Hon Geoffrey Macho, Mr Ocaya James, Maj Gen James Birungyi among others.

Our district is yet to achieve unlimited progress if we the leaders and the community collectively work together.
